Co-Creating a Reflective Supervision Approach; Grounding the Work
Reflective supervision is more than a check-in—it is a sanctuary for the work.
In practice, we don't just bring our skills to the table; we bring our whole selves, our biases, and our emotional responses to the complex realities we navigate. Reflective supervision provides an intentional, safe space to slow down and explore the impact of the work, not just the outputs. It transforms supervision from a top-down compliance exercise to a reciprocal, supportive partnership. It helps prevent burnout, builds individual and collective resilience, reduces emotional labour for leadership, and ensures that when things get difficult, your team stays grounded in their values and connected to one another.
Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all model, we work alongside your team to co-create a reflective supervision approach that reflects your values, culture, relationships, and organizational realities.
Phase 1: Building a Shared Understanding
A foundational session introducing the principles and purpose of reflective supervision, creating a common language and shared understanding across the team.
Phase 2: Co-Creating the Approach
Through a facilitated workshop, we work alongside your team to explore existing strengths, identify needs, and co-design a reflective supervision model and practical tools that fit your unique context.
Phase 3: Finalization & Delivery
We weave together the insights, ideas, and decisions from the workshop into a practical reflective supervision guide and supporting resources. Following review and feedback from your team, we refine the materials into a final version ready for implementation.
Phase 4: Implementation & Evaluation
After a period of living and working with the toolkit, we facilitate an evaluation and reflection session to explore what is working well, identify opportunities for refinement, and adapt the tools to better meet the evolving needs of your team.
