Strategic Planning; Shaping the Vision & Cutting the Trail

We love supporting purpose-driven organizations as they clarify their vision, identify their priorities, and create practical pathways toward meaningful action. Rather than producing a static document that sits on a shelf, we co-create living strategic plans that reflect the realities, strengths, and aspirations of the communities they serve. Grounded in relationship, participation, and collective wisdom, our process remains responsive to emerging needs and opportunities throughout the journey.

Our 5-Stage Pathfinding Framework*

*Note that this process can be fully customized to the needs of your organization and team.

  1. Sowing the Seeds: Through a feminist, anti-oppressive, and anti-colonial lens, we establish a proposed planning pathway to act as a clear guide for the entire journey.

  2. Putting Down Roots: We facilitate conversations with internal and external partners regarding your mission, values, hopes, and priorities for the future. We support the formation of a working group that reflects the voices and perspectives needed for the journey ahead, while drawing on the stories, feedback, and wisdom already shared to ensure the process remains grounded in community realities.

  3. Nurturing Growth: We facilitate an intensive strategic planning retreat with your Working Group.
Imagine Phase: We launch into "possibility thinking" to spark creativity and address identified organizational gaps.
Innovate Phase: We identify the key areas of strategic focus for the upcoming years that align deeply with your core mission.

  4. Time to Bloom: We collate retreat data into a representative strategic plan for your review and feedback. Together, we refine the strategic plan and then move from vision to action by identifying operational priorities, markers of success, and a practical year-one implementation plan.

  5. Supporting Future Growth: We facilitate quarterly reflection sessions to assess progress, celebrate successes, adapt to emerging realities, and evaluate community impact.
