Tony Moores
Consultant; Project Management & Analytics
(he/him)
Originally from Central Newfoundland and now living in St. John’s, Tony Moores has been called “a walking spreadsheet” more than once and across multiple industries. Wearing many hats throughout his career, Tony has gained extensive professional and life experience across diverse fields.
Most recently, as a Human Resources Coordinator working in both Project Management and Business Intelligence spaces at Brightisle, Tony’s organizational and data analytics created frameworks that informed departmental and whole-business strategies. In that role, he also oversaw the initial implementation, onboarding, and internal process development and maintenance of benefits plans for several hundred employees.
As a member of Team Aurelia, Tony created funding proposals for millions of dollars of critical infrastructure projects and managed their successful execution, all while attaining a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University and the globally recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Prior to that, working for an oil and gas contractor in the aviation sector, Tony wrote and rewrote entire policy and procedure manuals to conform to strict national and international standards, and trained and received the Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) credentials from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as an auditor for his experience and keen eye.
Tony’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics and a Bachelor of Education (Intermediate/Secondary), both from Memorial University. He also has nearly a decade of experience hosting and managing social events, most notably writing and hosting a weekly pub trivia game in St. John’s that routinely brings 100+ people together for an evening of fun and friendly competition.
Certifications and titles aside, the driving factor that unites and informs Tony’s transit through these diverse experiences is to remember the human. In education, in HR, in event planning, in project management, in auditing, and perhaps counter-intuitively, in data compilation and analytics; Tony believes it is absolutely critical to remember that there is humanity at the heart of all things. That guiding belief is central to directing effective strategies and solutions to whatever work he undertakes.
